Adoption of the “Cool Earth Partnership” between Japan and Thailand

The Embassy of Japan is pleased to announce that the Government of Japan and the Royal Thai Government have together adopted a “Cool Earth Partnership” to tackle against climate change.

The Japanese and Thai Governments held the “Cool Earth Seminar” on 4th of June 2009, at which the Japanese Ambassador, Mr. Kyoji KOMACHI proposed to adopt a “Cool Earth Partnership” between Japan and Thailand.

The participants of the seminar discussed the measures and cooperation relating to climate change. Japan and Thailand have had a common understanding in their direction of the cooperation in this regards.

In the future, the two governments will discuss concrete measures to further tackle climate change together.
