Press Release 2021

On April 29th, the Government of Japan announced the conferment of decorations on Thai citizens as part of the 2021 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals. The details of the Thai recipients’ decorations are as follow:

Ms. Prateep Ungsongtham Hata

• Former Vice-President of the Thailand-Japan Parliamentarians Friendship Group
• Founder and Secretary-General of the Duang Prateep Foundation

Ms. Prateep is awarded "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" for her invaluable contribution for underprivileged children and promoting mutual understanding between the Kingdom of Thailand and Japan.

Ms. Warintorn Wuwongse

• Former President of the Japanese Language and Culture Teachers Association of Thailand (JTAT)
• Professor of Thammasat University

Ms.Warintorn is awarded "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette" for her outstanding achievements in education and promoting mutual understanding between the kingdom of Thailand and Japan.
