Vacancy Announcement – Local Staff (Administrative Position)

The Economic Section of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand is seeking a motivated and responsible local staff member to support our work. The Economic Division is mainly engaged with Japan - Thailand economic relations and Japan’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Thailand. We are currently seeking a local staff to handle secretarial, administrative and basic research duties in fields such as macroeconomics, science & technology, telecommunications, and digital. (The selected candidate may be assigned to other fields, subject to their qualifications and job responsibilities within the Division.)

Location: Economic Division, Embassy of Japan (Witthayu Road, Bangkok)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30
Expected Start Date: December 2025 or January 2026
Age Guideline: Approximately under 35
 

1. Qualifications (All Required)

  • Thai nationality
  • Proficiency in Japanese or English language
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Residence in Bangkok or surrounding areas
  • Ability to use PC applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and handle tasks flexibly

 

2. Main Responsibilities

  • Administrative and secretarial support within the Economic Division
  • Basic research and coordination on topics such as Macroeconomics, Science and Technology, Telecommunications, and Digital. (The selected candidate may be assigned to other fields, subject to their qualifications and job responsibilities within the Division.)
  • Appointment arrangements, documentation, and communication with external stakeholders

 

3. Employment Conditions

  • Salary will be determined in accordance with Embassy regulations (to be informed after interview)
