Economic Division, Embassy of Japan in Thailand

The Economic Section of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand is seeking a motivated and responsible local staff member to support our work. The Economic Division is mainly engaged with Japan - Thailand economic relations and Japan’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Thailand. We are currently seeking a local staff to handle secretarial, administrative and basic research duties. 

Location: Economic Division, Embassy of Japan (Witthayu Road, Bangkok)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30
Expected Start Date: Mid-June 2026 or July 2026 (subject to change)
Age Guideline: Approximately under 35

1. Qualifications (All Required)

  • Thai nationality 
  • Proficiency in Japanese (N2 or above) (English proficiency is advantage) 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher 
  • Residence in Bangkok or surrounding areas 
  • Ability to use PC applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and handle tasks flexibly 

 

2. Main Responsibilities

  • Administrative and secretarial support within the Economic Division
  • Basic research and coordination on selected topics 
  • Appointment arrangements, documentation, and communication with external stakeholders

 

3. Employment Conditions

  • Salary will be determined in accordance with Embassy regulations (to be informed after interview)
