Embassy of Japan in Thailand Hiring Contract Coordinator for the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP)
The Economic Division, Embassy of Japan in Thailand is hiring 1 Contract Coordinator (Thai Nationality)for Kusanone Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). This project benefits directly to people who are living in Thailand. The details of the job are as follows;
1. What is the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP)?
GGP is grassroots international cooperation by which the Japanese government provides support, through the embassies or consulates overseas.
GGP supports small-scale projects, (in principle, grant funding will not exceed 10 million yen) to local or international NGOs, local governments, educational and medical institutions in developing countries. The coordinator will conduct supporting activities such as planning, implementation and monitoring of GGP projects.

2. Job description
The main functions of Contractor are as follows:
- Preliminary study and drafting the documents for project preparation.
For the project proposal submitted to the Embassy, GGP Coordinator will carry out the necessary preliminary study on the situation on the targeted areas, challenges for its implementation and the capacity of the organization. Based on the study, GGP Coordinator will prepare documents for the project selection. - Monitoring and Follow-up of the project
GGP Coordinator will monitor and follow up ongoing or completed GGP projects with the implementation partners the work, monitor the project implementation to oversee their proper implementation. - Assistance for the contract signing and the project handover ceremony.
The GGP coordinator will coordinate with the relevant parties for the ceremony mentioned above. - Drafting project reports
GGP coordinator will prepare project monitoring reports and monthly reports by contacting with the implementation partners and visiting the project sights regarding the activities mentioned above. - Other related jobs regarding to the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP).
3. Qualifications of applicants
- Thai national in good health both physically and mentally.
- High skills to read, write, coordinate and communicate in Japanese.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point).
4. Contract type and salary
- Salary and other benefits: decided on the basis of the rules of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for GGP Contractor
- Period of employment: from October 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. (the period could be extended for a maximum of 3 years from the beginning date of the contract.)
GGP Contract Coordinator is not employed as local staff at the Embassy. The Embassy will pay a specific amount of the salary based on the contract for GGP related duties. The benefits of the local staff at the Embassy are NOT applied for GGP Contract Coordinator.
